Dorothy (Murray) Burritt, formerly of Newington, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016. Born and raised in Hartford, she was a resident of Newington for many years. Dorothy was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years, prior to her retirement. She is survived by a son, Sean Burritt of Florida; a daughter, Candice Burritt of West Virginia; two granddaughters, Keira and Kaitlyn; a sister, Barbara Gallagher of West Hartford; a niece and four nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Charles Murray and Dorothy Murray and a sister, Shirley Jefferson. Calling hours will be Sunday, (January 1), from 3 to 5 pm at the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford. Burial will be private.
