Obituary for Henry Lesinski

God welcomed his hard worker back to Heaven, our beloved Dziadek, Henry Lesinski, 83 of West Hartford, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Bel Air Manor with his daughter Eva at his side, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's disease. Henry was the beloved husband for 58 years to the late Zofia (Kamassa) Lesinski. Born in Jednorozec, Poland on September 25, 1932, the son of the late Stanislaw and Leokadia Lesinski, he had lived in West Hartford for the past 51 years. Henry was retired from the State of CT, Dept.of Higher Education and was a self employed mason. He was a communicant of Holy Cross Church, New Britain and a member of the Polish National Alliance. Henry enjoyed gardening, working on his home projects and improvements, restoration of his antique cars. He was meticulous in refurbishing of antique furniture, and in his quiet times wrote elegant poetry. Henry was dedicated to his beloved Poland during the Solidarity Movement. In the years he lived in Poland he loved working his farm, orchards and his passion for horses. He will be remembered by his daughter, Eva Kijek and her husband, Stanley of West Hartford, his son, Mariusz Lesinski and his wife Eva of West Hartford. He was the loving Dziadek to his four grandchildren, Gregory Kijek and his wife Kristina of West Hartford, Alicia Boncek and her husband Kevin of West Hartford, Katie Tomlin and her husband Justin of TX and Julianne Lesinski of Boston; brothers Stanislaw and Kazimierz Lesinski; sister Jadwiga Krajewska, many cousins and close friends in Poland. He was predeceased by a brother Marian Lesinski and sisters Genowefa Lesinski and Stanislawa Lesinski . The family would to extend a special thank you to the staff at Bel Air Manor and Masonicare Hospice for the loving and devoted care they showed him. Funeral procession will be Thursday (July 7), 9 a.m. from the Sheehan Hilborn Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain Ave., West Hartford followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church, New Britain. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
